REVISED MAP & LOCATION: We've moved from the Camel Barn to the Clocktower--1189 Washington Street, Benicia, CA. Get a Yahoo! map here.

"Greetings unto one and all! Given the superb support and anxiousness that has overwhelmed us since last year's Swordsmanship Symposium, the Schola Saint George will once again host an International gathering of swordsmen, masters-at-arms and instructors representing the spectrum of what is today the diversity of European historical martial arts. But this year, we will also explore some of the finest traditions of the East; that swordsmen of each tradition might have the opportunity to observe and study the two side by side. We will also host several key presenters in the Theatrical community, who will present lectures on how to apply historical principles to stage combat.

"Our venue is changing. Given that last year we had 168 people attend, we outgrew our space. Therefore, we are more than pleased to announce that our 2003 site is not only larger, but has space for two very large classrooms, each of which has a wooden floor superb acoustics. Merchants will be located on the lower level, so that all might shop without disturbing classes. We will also have a third classroom, this one "on the green" for the smaller classes.

Meet the authors who are creating Chivalry Bookshelf titles. Test your skills in the medieval Pas d'Armes or in the Renaissance Prize Playing. Share your thoughts and experiences at our Saturday night medieval feast."

Note that this is not a reenactment event; this symposium is unaffiliated with any society and the opinions and techniques demonstrated may have limited application within the context of other forms of combat. During the Pas d'Armes, Medieval Dinner and Fencing Tournament, appropriate clothing is to be encouraged but not required. Combat standards for the tournaments will be published separately.

Here are the confirmed event highlights--more are being added every day--the Schedule is still being finalized so check back often.
